Choosing flooring for a conservatory or garden room?

We can help you – and everything will be coming up roses!

Whatever its size, your conservatory or sunroom is an extension of your garden/outside living space. Whether you’re after a second living room, a place to work, or a playroom for the kids, with big windows or small, there’s lots to think about before you decide on your flooring.

How will you keep your conservatory warm in winter and cool in summer? Flooring could be a factor here. Does your flooring need to be pet-proof? Do you need water/mud resistance because of small children or forgetful gardeners? Will anyone be spilling their glass of wine in it? Do you need something really hard-wearing, if your room is part of your route to your garden?

Branagan’s has lots of possible solutions for you. Read on…

Luxury Vinyl Tile flooring:

  • Looks just like traditional wooden floors and tiles
  • Is really easy to install in lots of creative patterns
  • Is very easy to repair if disaster strikes
  • Keeps its good looks for ages
  • Is waterproof and wine-proof!
  • Is extremely easy to maintain
  • Feels warm and welcoming underfoot in comparison to a floor tile made of stone or porcelain

Carpet:

  • It’s warm and comfortable underfoot – its main advantage
  • It’s easy to lay on top of almost any type of subfloor
  • Your children’s little piggies will enjoy its cosy warmth as they play on it, and you can rely on its hygiene and cleanliness because you can easily see when it’s dirty – but be warned: the flip side of that coin is that it will show the dirt when the same little piggies trek in from the paddling pool or sandpit! Bleach-cleanable carpets are available, though, so all’s not lost.

A garden room or conservatory is the perfect room for entertaining friends and family, so a floor you are proud to show off is a must. Don’t let the grass grow under your feet – give us a shout and we’ll give you our best options. It’s what we do.
